It means that i cannot open google from external links, and every time google updates, I have to go through the renaming process again each time or again, it will not open.
I found a temporary solution which was to rename the shortcut and use that, but that creates it's own issues. I have tried disabling extensions using -disable extensions in the properties section, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both google chrome and google chrome canary countless times and I have tried scanning my pc for malware that could be stopping google from opening but nothing came through on avast, mcafee or windows defender. I click on google chrome and it opens and closes immediately without fail.
